PET OF THE WEEK: CHARLIE

placeholder image

Charlie has been in the Lycoming County SPCA for over 700 days. He was surrendered to the shelter by his previous owner after they became overwhelmed trying to care for too many animals.

This nearly 5 year-old, sweet, brown tabby boy is a favorite among staff and volunteers alike. He does need to be on daily medication, but takes it without fuss (typically because he also knows a can of wet food always follows).  Charlie loves to be held, will even hug you back, and purrs nonstop! He has grown in confidence since arriving and now shows off his silly, yet independent personality. He will play with your hands, but will also ask for some alone time when he needs it.

If you stop by the shelter, feel free to say hello to Charlie in cat kennel #17. Just be warned, you may be entranced by his big, round eyes and soft belly that is often on display! Charlie is looking for a quiet household with a family that will be patient as he adjusts to new surroundings. They will be rewarded with an absolute lovebug of a new feline family member.
